A natural paradise

The Mostviertel, a picturesque region in the south-western part of Lower Austria, is a real gem for nature lovers and explorers. Characterised by rolling hills, lush meadows and dense forests, the Mostviertel offers an impressive variety of landscapes and experiences. The nature here is particularly diverse and invites you to take long walks and hikes. The region is known for its rich flora and fauna, and in spring the landscape is transformed into a magnificent sea of flowers. Numerous hiking trails lead through the idyllic surroundings and offer spectacular views of the Alps and the Alpine foothills.

The cider route

A highlight of the region is the famous Moststraße, a panoramic route around 200 kilometres long that leads through the heart of the Mostviertel. Numerous cider farms and wineries line the road, inviting visitors to sample the traditional pear cider. The Moststraße is not only known for its culinary delights, but also for its cultural sights and the warm hospitality of the locals.
